QS here, is 18k fair after 13 years, mostly worked on fit-out side not consultancy
Good day to all. Hope I can get some feedback from others.
I've been working as a quantity surveyor for a fit-out contractor, handling BOQs and variations, currently on 18k with 13 years experience. Heard consultancy side pays more than contracting side, just want to know if 18k is fair for where I'm at.

Sounds about average from what I've seen, consultancy side would likely be 20k+ for similar experience.

Yeah contracting/fit-out side QS pay is generally lower than consultancy, thats a pretty well known gap in this market unfortunately.
