Do design firms on hospitality projects really pay higher than others?

Hi all,

Heard this a few times and want to know if it's actually true.

I keep hearing that interior designers working on hospitality projects (hotels, F&B fitouts) earn more than those doing residential or retail. I'm currently on residential projects at a studio in JLT and considering a switch if this is really the case. Anyone here worked across both sectors and can confirm if hospitality pays noticeably better?

Thanks!
